leadership & career therapy

career therapy for professionals and leaders navigating burnout, career transitions, and leadership challenges.

virtual CA career counseling in San Diego, LA, OC, and beyond.

Your career looks successful from the outside. But inside - something feels off. Maybe you’ve been grinding for years and you’re not sure what you’re even working towards anymore. Maybe you’ve reached a leadership level that is bringing pressure that you’ve started to take home at night. Or maybe you’re starting your career and not sure what to do next.

Career counseling in a therapy context is different than career coaching. We will go a step beyond - looking at the beliefs you carry about your self-worth, fear of failure or success, family narratives about career, and the internal patterns that may be keeping you stuck or spiraling. You might seek career counseling if:

  • You feel burnt out and aren’t sure if you should make a career change.

  • You’re successful by external measures but feel unfulfilled.

  • You’re facing a career transition or decision and feel paralyzed.

  • Imposter syndrome is undermining your confidence at work.

  • You’re an executive or leader carrying enormous pressure and nowhere to decompress.

  • You want to explore entrepeunership but self-doubt gets in the way.

  • You’re a recent graduate and not sure what strengths or values light you up in your career.

You don’t have to navigate these questions alone. I offer career counseling virtually in San Diego, OC, LA and across California and accept Aetna, Anthem, CenCal, and sliding scale.

What I bring to the room: In addition to being a therapist, I bring years of experience as a leadership consultant, coach and facilitator. I have worked with executives and organizations navigating complex change and I understand the pressures of high-performance environments from the inside.

That lived experience shapes how I work. We will explore the stories you carry about success and failure, identifying where it accelerates or derails you towards your goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify the patterns that get in the way, and use Existential Therapy to help you explore what is most important to you.
